Always reblog this. A lot of the animals they kill (and they kill over 95% of the animals they take in at their Virginia Headquarters) are killed within 24 hours. Not nearly enough time to deem whether an animal is adoptable or not. They even bought a giant fridge to store the corpses!
PETA is a corporation. Not a charity. Less than 1% of their 32 Million+ annual budget actually goes to directly helping animals. Most of it is spent making sexist/racist/ domestic abuse supporting commercials that won’t even air on television, giving bail outs to convicted arsonists and criminals, hiring/supporting any celebrity that claims to be vegetarian for five minutes, creating campaigns to target children (“Your mom kills animals”), fruitless lawsuits like suing Sea World for violating the constitution, and most recently, making porn. I fail to see how that fucking helps animals.
PETA does not give a shit about animals.
Plus, these assholes have the gall to insult Steve Irwin.
I looked this up guys and it’s legit. please signal boost!
PETA has never been about helping animals. It’s always been about the destruction of the domestic pet. PETA believes that having animals as pets is an abomination. They would rather see every domestic animal on earth put down, rather than help and educate people on looking after them.
The founder of PETA, Ingrid Newkirk, has some seriously fucked up views on the way animals are treated. She grew up in New Delhi, where she worked with her mother in a leper colony and home for unwed mothers. She saw some pretty heinous shit in regards to animal abuse, because it was New Delhi in the early 60s. Being exposed to that sort of awful stuff as a kid sort of screws up your perception of the rest of the world. Deep down, she still thinks that everyone in the world treats animals like the starving populace of 1960’s New Delhi. She honestly believes that every pet in the world would be better off dead in their care, than alive with anyone else, because there’s a chance they might get abused.
The scariest part is, PETA honestly believes it’s doing the right thing.
What the fuck?
He looks like a fish out of water, oh my god

THANK YOU!!!! What an interesting question! I have a couple of apps but these are my top three:
1.) Lab Values- This one is great for students and practicing RN’s. It’s $1.99 on itunes and it goes through lab values (obviously) and explains them! Why the value could be high and possibilities why they could be low and the rationale and patho-physiology.
2.) Micromedix- this app is free and reliable (my hospital and many others use micromedix as a resource for staff). This app is great for refreshing yourself on medications.
3.) Prognosis- I LOVE this app!!!! I downloaded it three years ago and I am addicted. Best of all its FREE! The app presents case studies and you decide the interventions and see if you fixed the patient. It has helped tremendously with critical thinking. Plus, it goes through rationales for everything. The app has expanded so much and has many other sub apps (prognosis respiratory, prognosis diabetes, prognosis cardiology, etc etc etc). I highly highly highly recommend this app for those that want to improve critical thinking. I think this app is more geared to medical students- but hey, there is nothing wrong with a well versed nurse!
Calgary Stampede!!! :) best part of summer!
You know how people buy drinks for girls in bars? Why can’t people do that in book stores? Like if I’m looking at a novel in Barnes and Noble and some person walks up to me and strikes up a conversation and offers to buy the book for me there is a lot better chance of that working out in their favor
I’m going to reblog this until it’s a cultural norm.
Lets do it
plus less chance of drugs being slipped into your book
